McDonald’s recently launched McTrax, a musical placemat, customers could use to make some beats while they enjoy their food. Customers download an app and set their phone on the placemat to start making beats. This circuit printed placemat allows consumers to create their own songs and share tracks with the world.

This creative campaign fostered in store creativity and promoted great moments made at McDonald’s. Although this promotion was short lived, it created a ton of engagement and brought all ages inside stores to make some music. Additionally, McDonald’s was co-creating content with their consumers making it a win-win for both parties.
