Burger King is giving customers in student debt a chance to pay off their loans by simply ordering food through its mobile app.
Burger King is giving this opportunity to customers through what they are calling the “Whopper Loan” sweepstakes. Customers are asked to download the Burger King app and place an order or to mail in an entry by June 6th and in return get the chance to win up to $100,000 to pay down a verified student loan. Customers can enter the contest once a week by making a purchase through the Burger King app or as many times as they wish by submitting written letters to Realtime Media.
Burger King found a current struggle for recent college graduates and used the common ground to attract those in student debt, increasing app downloads and orders in the process. By giving out this opportunity, they are likely to see not only an increase in sales but also loyalty.
