On September 19th, McDonald’s celebrated McDelivery Night In” by giving away a variety of branded apparel and accessories to customers who placed an order with Uber Eats.

For the past three years, McDonald’s has promoted its delivery service through annual giveaways. This year, the brand encouraged customers to enjoy a cozy night in with McDonald’s. Starting at 5 p.m. local time, customers in the U.S. could place an order of at least $10 with Uber Eats and receive a free item from the “McDelivery Night In” line. This limited-time collection featured items such as slippers, fuzzy socks, hair scrunchies, t-shirts, sweatshirts and fleece shorts – all to make your night in that much comfier.

With younger generations often opting for healthier restaurant options, McDonald’s must find strategic ways to reach and engage with this segment. As quick and convenient meal options have become an expectation for these consumers, the brand is smart to put a stronger focus on its mobile ordering and delivery options.
