Kate Spade’s interactive holiday video – The Waiting Game – uses an innovative motion-touch technology to cleverly showcase the brand’s coolest winter fashions – no pun intended.

Starring celebrity Anna Kendrick, the video takes place outside her apartment building after returning, and finding herself locked out, from what seems to be a Kate Spade shopping spree. As she (and her adorable pup) wait for the locksmith, she fills the time by trying on her new clothes in preparation for a party she plans to attend later that night.

While watching the video, viewers can click on the items they love, and then shop for their favorites or watch behind-the-scene footage of the making of the video. Though the concept is simple, The Waiting Game interactive video puts a new, fun twist on online shopping – letting consumers see the brand’s merchandise in motion, rather than having to scan through static images.

Plus, by promoting the video across all of Kate Spade’s social platforms – via #MissAdventure – the brand is reaching their consumer where they already are and and subsequently driving traffic to their site.
